Colares studio opens its doors for one-day art show – Portugal Resident
Three artists are preparing to welcome the public into their creative space for a special “Open Studio” event at Casa do Celeiro in the scenic area of Pé da Serra, Colares (Sintra).
The event offers a rare chance to see behind the scenes of a working art studio and engage directly with the creators.
Featuring the work of Maria José Meneses, Clara Rêgo, and Mary St. George, the showcase will allow visitors to see a wide variety of styles and mediums, ranging from contemporary paintings and mixed media art to sculptural ceramics and unique artists’ books.
The open day will take place on Saturday, May 30, with the studio doors staying open from 12pm until 6pm.
Casa do Celeiro is a 17th century building that was part of a quinta (manor house and farm). Once used as a barn and stable, it was transformed into a home and studio.
