Aljezur to host Prova na Vila wine tasting event – Portugal Resident
The western Algarve town of Aljezur will host Prova na Vila on June 13, a wine tasting event bringing together over 10 winemakers.
The event will take place at Largo da Liberdade between 5pm and 10.30pm, featuring producers from several regions – including the Costa Vicentina, Monchique and Alentejo – with a “special focus on organic viticulture and signature projects that reflect the regional terroir”.
Among the confirmed participants are Adega do Mar, Adega do Montado, Adega dos Nascedios, Arvad, Cabrita Wines, Quinta dos Capinhas, Quinta dos Namorados, Quinta dos Sentidos, Quinta dos Vales, Sul Composto, Terra Sigilata and Vicentino.
Organisers say the initiative is designed to give visitors the opportunity to discover different wine styles while meeting producers directly in an informal setting.
Entry costs €10 and includes the official event glass as well as unlimited wine tastings throughout the evening.
The initiative is organised in partnership with the Aljezur parish council and regional tourism board Turismo do Algarve as part of wider efforts to promote the region through gastronomy, wine and local producers.
