British artist Suzy Starlite to premiere debut solo album – Portugal Resident
British artist Suzy Starlite will premiere her debut solo album this Saturday, May 9, at the Atelier-Museu António Duarte in Caldas da Rainha.

The British singer-songwriter, originally from Ross-on-Wye and now living in Foz do Arelho, will present her new album 1966 in an intimate candlelit concert that will also be filmed for international release.
She will be joined on stage by guitarist and producer Simon Campbell, her longtime musical partner and fellow member of Starlite & Campbell. The performance marks the launch of Starlite’s first solo project, with Campbell producing the album.

Described as deeply personal, 1966 draws inspiration from 1980s New Wave music, with influences including Siouxsie Sioux, Alison Moyet and The Pretenders. The album takes its name from the singer’s birth year and references the “Fire Horse” in the Chinese zodiac.
The concert will also feature Portuguese musicians including drummer Hugo Danin, who has worked with Carolina Deslandes, and keyboardist Nuno Louro, known for his work with FF.
Tickets cost €10. Doors open at 7.30pm.
