New Port wine unveiled at Vila Vita Parc’s Adega – Portugal Resident
Adega restaurant, located at Vila Vita Parc in Porches, will host an exclusive wine dinner on Monday, June 8 in partnership with The Sandeman, marking the official launch of the new Sandeman Vintage 2024.

It is considered a “highly anticipated release”, as 2024 is considered a “classic year in the world of Vintage Port wines”, the luxury resort says in a statement to the press.
Notable guest Luís Sottomayor, “one of the most respected names in Portuguese winemaking and a leading authority in fortified wines”, will personally present the new Vintage 2024 at the end of the dinner.


Beginning at 7.30pm with a welcome drink on the Adega terrace or by the lake area, the dinner will start at 8pm and include a five-course menu entirely paired with different Sandeman Port wine references, “carefully selected to complement each creation by Alípio Branco, Executive Chef at Vila Vita Parc”.


“Known for his ability to transform traditional Portuguese dishes into refined gastronomic experiences while preserving their authenticity and cultural roots, Alípio Branco privileges local ingredients and wine pairings that celebrate Portugal’s rich culinary and wine heritage, creating an immersive and genuine Portuguese dining experience,” the resort says.
The gastronomic journey will feature dishes such as turbot with cauliflower praline, hazelnuts and beurre blanc, paired with Sandeman 40 Years Tawny, as well as braised beef cheeks with Port wine reduction, accompanied by Sandeman 2000 Vintage. Dessert will culminate with the presentation of the highly anticipated Sandeman Vintage 2024.
The experience concludes with petit fours paired with a rare Sandeman 1963 Vintage, “offering guests a unique journey through the world of Port wines.”
