Meat Winemakers returns to Pepper’s Steakhouse – Portugal Resident
Pepper’s Steakhouse at the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura will host the seventh edition of its Meat Winemakers event between May 29 and June 5, this year in partnership with Algarve wine producer Quinta do Barranco Longo.
The gastronomic experience combines premium meat dishes with specially selected wine pairings in a tasting menu created exclusively for the occasion.
The full menu costs €110 per person, although guests can also choose individual tasting moments from the experience.
Over the course of the week, diners will be taken through a multi-course menu inspired by Portuguese gastronomy and native Portuguese cattle breeds, now featured more prominently on the restaurant’s new menu.
The experience begins with tuna tataki served with Algarve orange ponzu, Sea Finger algae and squid ink crisp, paired with the Barranco Longo Arinto 2024 white wine.
Another course features octopus with pickled cucumber, coriander sponge and smoked carrot cream, accompanied by the Barranco Longo Oaked Rosé Reserva 2020.
The main dish focuses on Minhota beef, served with parsnip purée, fennel, asparagus and black garlic purée. It is paired with the new Barranco Longo Grande Reserva 2021 – Pepper’s Steakhouse Edition, created especially for the partnership.
Desserts include a white chocolate and Gruyère cheese creation with fig and orange jam, almonds and honeycomb, followed by an apricot dessert combining almond crunch, apricot compote and cocoa crisp.
One of the main highlights of this year’s edition is the official launch of the Barranco Longo Grande Reserva 2021 – Pepper’s Steakhouse Edition.
The Meat Winemakers tasting menu will be available exclusively at dinner service, from 6pm to 10.30pm.
