Luncheon to discuss Algarve’s potential as “Portugal’s next digital hub” – Portugal Resident

A high-level discussion on digital innovation and investment in the Algarve will take place in Vilamoura later this month, bringing together government officials, business leaders, and technology executives.

The British-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (BPCC) will host an exclusive luncheon on Thursday, May 28, at the Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa, focusing on the region’s growing role in Portugal’s digital economy.

Bernardo Correia, Secretary of State for Digitalisation, will be the keynote speaker and will “share insights into Portugal’s national strategy and the Algarve’s growing role as a destination for global technology companies, digital entrepreneurs, and forward-looking investors.”

The programme will also include a fireside conversation with Miguel Fernandes, CEO of Dengun. The discussion will look at how the Algarve’s digital ecosystem is developing and what opportunities exist for international businesses and investors, as well as Portugal’s vision for innovation and digital transformation.

The event is scheduled to begin at 12pm and will run as a working luncheon, combining formal discussion with networking among senior executives, entrepreneurs, and policymakers.

Tickets cost €49 for members plus VAT and €65 for non-members plus VAT. Advance booking is recommended due to limited space.
